Places to see...

There are lots of places to see in Edinburgh, so remember to have a good pair of sneakers on your feet when siteseeing around the city.

Edinburgh Castle - well, the gate anyway...

One of the most visited places is the castle.

Sorry, but I only have a photo of the entrance.

St. Giles Cathedral

This is St. Giles Cathedral. I went back to it many times during my stay in Edingburgh. It has the magnificent mosaic windows.

Wow... beautiful.....

Isn't it beautiful. I hurried out and bought some paper and pencils to draw the windows with.

What a view....

A view overlooking some of Princes Street gardens

The Scott Monument

The Scott Monument

It's 200ft 6 in / 61.1 m high

I climbed the 287 steps to the top.

Glad I did it, but I'm never doing it again.

This is some of the Princes Street Gardens. I often sat here and enjoyed the atmosphere of the place.

Dynamic Earth

Dynamic Earth.

A place to visit if you have the time, but not a 'must-see' tourist atraction.

What to see first...

There are a four galleries to visit in Edinburgh. I went to see them all. There are a special bus going between the galleries, but if you have the time it's a nice walk too.
