DRAGON
Why?
I have chosen the dragon as my favorite imaginary creature. This won't come as a surprise to those that know me well, since dragons are a big issue in my favourite books.
Facts!
There are different oppinions on dragons, but I like to think of dragons as how Anne McCaffrey characterize them in her Dragon Riders Series. Although, I like to think their appearenses a are somewhat different than they are drawn in 'The Dragon Lovers Guide to Pern'.
I would, myself, put all dragons into three categories; friendly, Chinese and mean.
The friendly ones are the ones like the Pern type. They don't necessarily have to be telepathic as they are on Pern. I guess Puff the Magic Dragon would be in this category.
The Chinese ones are, as far as I know, also friendly, but I have put them in their own category since their appearance are rather unique.
The mean ones would look rather like the friendly ones, but this type of dragon would be so fond of treasures that they wouldn't like anybody else but them selves and all the glitter they can collect. I guess Smaug from LotR would fall into this category rather nicely.
